Friends of the Lewes Library set book sale May 3

The Friends of the Lewes Public Library will hold a book sale for the general public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at 111 Adams Ave. in Lewes. The book sale is free and all proceeds from the sale benefit the Lewes Public Library.

The first-floor Booktique will feature books starting at $3. In the second-floor meeting rooms there will be hardback and trade paperbacks priced at $2 and paperbacks at $1, and a large selection of children’s books at great prices.

A Friends members-only preview book sale will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 2. Entrance to Preview Night requires a current Friends of the Lewes Public Library membership. Anyone wishing to join the Friends or renew their membership may pick up a membership form at the Lewes Public Library during business hours or online at Individuals also may become Friends members the night of the Preview Sale.

On Saturday, book lovers can enjoy the Biblio Bistro. Breakfast and snacks will include Surf Bagel bagels, coffee, soft drinks and home-baked treats.

At this time, the Friends are not accepting donations for the book sale. Donations will be accepted again beginning Tuesday, May 27.
