Got Zentangles? New class at Millsboro Art League set for May 9

April 17, 2014

Frustrated artists and/or those looking for a new art form can plan to attend an Introduction to Zentangles class to be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 9, at the Millsboro Art League, 203 Main St. in Millsboro.

Zentangles is an easy-to-learn, meditative art for creating beautiful, repetitive patterns while enhancing focus and creativity. Used to reduce stress, Zentangles increases a sense of personal well-being.

The instructor, Barb Mavraganis, received her BS in history from Franklin and Marshall College in 1976. She discovered Zentangles in 2012, and her experience with this new art form led to her become a certified teacher through training with Zentangle founders Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas.

While Mavraganis enjoys spending her summers and sharing her expertise in and around Bethany Beach, she has also taught younger and older residents in the Lancaster, Pa. area.

Register at www.millsboroartleague.com. In addition to special workshops, Millsboro Art League’s Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 to 3 p.m., Sundays.
