Spring Into Your Library Family Festival April 26 in Bridgeville

April 19, 2014

The Bridgeville Public Library will host nine other Sussex County libraries from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 26, for a Spring Into Your Library Family Festival to which all county residents are invited.

The event will promote the public libraries in Sussex County, educate the public as to what the libraries provide, introduce the start of the Summer Reading Program and register new users. Each library will have a craft and/or game with prizes, and story times will be scheduled throughout the day.

Entertainment will also be provided by the Woodbridge PTO and Woodbridge Youth  Soccer Association in the school stadium. The PTO will have a variety of events including Animaland, where children can build their own stuffed animals; barrel train rides; games; and other activities. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served from the concession stand, and Woodbridge baskets will be available for  purchase.

Also on hand will be Woodbridge Alumni and Woodbridge Pop Warner, Bridgeville Lions with delicious crab cakes, and Vanderwende’s ice cream truck. Woodbridge Little League will have pony rides, vendors, and snacks beside the library. Delicious bake sale items will be available from the Bridgeville Senior Center, along with items from crafters and vendors.  The Friends groups of the Bridgeville and Greenwood libraries will also participate in the festivities.
