Cape softball drops two in a row to Laurel and Tech

The Cape softball team dropped two games this week, falling 8-1 to Laurel April 14 and 3-1 to Sussex Tech April 16.

In the loss to Laurel, Tiara Duffy slapped two hits for Cape, including a double, and broke up the Bulldogs' shutout attempt when she came home on a bunt by Alexis Burger.

Laurel had 12 hits in the contest to the Vikings' two. Cape also had three errors in the game.

Cape struck first against the Ravens, but the Tech team scored three straight runs to move the Vikings to 3-5 on the season.
