The Georgetown AARP Chapter 5340 visits the Harrison House, a senior assisted living community, each month. Recently, members held a Mardi Gras party for the residents, one of the many community service projects this chapter is involved in.

The chapter holds luncheon meetings at noon on the first Monday of every month at the Indian River Senior Center on Irons Avenue in Millsboro. Cost is $14.

Shown at the Mardi Gras celebration (l-r) Paula Norman; Ann Couch, chair; Pat VanAuken; Hilda Parker, chair; and Norma Prettiman show bingo cards and refreshments of ice cream and homemade colored cookies.
