Ways to Celebrate Earth Day on The Delaware Bay

April 21, 2014

April 22 marks the 44th anniversary of Earth Day, started in 1970 to raise awareness about environmental concerns nationwide.  To honor the day, The Cape May - Lewes Ferry has created a special $44 vehicle roundtrip rate, $14 foot passenger rate to encourge residents to go out on the water and observe Mother Nature from a water vantage point.  With more than 71% of the earth's surface covered in water, the need to appreciate, and preserve marine life is critical to the Earth Day message.  Through the reduced rate as well as season-long rates that encourage people to travel for a nominal foot passage rate while bringing bikes on board free, the ferry is committed to helping residents and visitors appreciate and take in the beauty of the Delaware Bay.
