Eloise Alden, talented musician

Eloise Beckley Pocock Alden, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, passed from this life at the age of 90 Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at home in Lewes. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. (Esta Crowl) Herman D. Pocock Sr. A talented musician, she studied piano for many years at the Cleveland Conservatory of Music.

She was a devoted wife for 67 years to the late William Alden and a loving mother to her three children: Nancy A. Roberts, with whom she lived; John Alden (and significant other Amy) of Columbus, Ohio, and Jim (and wife Kathy) Alden of Spring Lake Heights, N.J. She was also grandmother of 11; and great-grandmother of nine.

Predeceased by sister, Betty Pickford, and brother, Dr. Herman D. Pocock Jr., she is survived by her oldest sibling, Doris Abbott, 99, of Tiffin, Ohio.
