Daffodil Dash -  A good Sunday morning comes down in Lewes

The third annual Daffodil Dash for Autism attracted 282 runners and walkers May 4 on the Irish Eyes course in Lewes.

Dan Rosenfeld, 39, was the top finisher in a time of 20:30. John Blackford, 37, 21:03; and Micah Crenshaw, 11, 22:13, rounded out the top three.

Lisa Sherman, 40, was the first woman to finish, with a time of 22:16, while Helena Helou, 12, in 22:52 and Sara Bushey, 33, in 23:01 completed the first three women's finishers.

There were lots of families walking hand in hand and pushing baby strollers - some with kids, others without.

Some performances of interest were Chris Mattioni, Delaware high school wrestling's Coach of the Year, 23:04; and former Cape state champion lacrosse players Maura Johnson and Jenna Steele finished in 25:06 and 27:19, respectively. Phil Terhune, 35, and Isaac Terhune, 8, finished in 29:15.1 and 29:16.6.
