Herbert B. Yeager, retired minister

Herbert B. Yeager, 78, retired United Christ of Church Minister, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Wednesday May 7, 2014, at home.

Mr. Yeager was born Oct. 6, 1935, in Dover, to the late Arthur Yeager and Elizabeth Nickerson Yeager. He was a graduate of Dover High School, Lycoming College and Andover Newton Theological School. A creative and inspiring minister, he served churches in New Jersey, Massachusetts.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Gertrude Shay.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Yeager of Rehoboth Beach; daughter, Jennifer Tarr and grandson Caspar of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday May 24, at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 35 Rising Sun Ave., Camden.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
