State park officials looking toward future

May 16, 2014

The recent article about the rental house now available at the Delaware Seashore Park was of great interest to me. Delaware has a history of short term visitors staying at their parks and campgrounds.

I commend the leadership of the Delaware State parks for this positive action to enhance the cash flow of the parks. They should be praised and not ridiculed.

The fact that the house was built there many years ago is water over the dam. The job today is to make the optimal decisions with the resources that are available. I was soured by the amount of ink your paper gave the former legislator, who bemoaned the decision to build the house many years ago. That is history, not the future.

My hat is off to Ray Bivens and his team.
