The Friends of Dewey Beach held its third annual Wine and Waves event May 10 on the beach in front of the Dewey Beach Life Saving Station on Dagsworthy Avenue.
The free event is a way for the not-for-profit civic organization to celebrate the town before the big beach crowds come Memorial Day weekend.
A good crowd turned out to enjoy the bonfire, the wine and beer tasting, hotdogs, hamburgers, 50/50 raffle and music.
