Coastal Concerts announces officers for 2014-15 season

May 17, 2014

Coastal Concerts, which promotes classical music appreciation in central Delmarva, elected officers for the upcoming season and welcomed a new member to its Board of Directors.

Peter Harrigan, previously the organization’s vice president, was elected president for the 2014-15 season. Dan Crampton, who formerly served as secretary, was elected vice president, and Bruce Collins was elected treasurer.

In addition, Minnie Shorter was elected to Coastal Concerts’ Board for a three-year term. She is joined on the board by the officers and returning directors Stuart Brahs, immediate Past President Denise Emery, and Roman Pawlowski. Edna V. Ellett continues as executive director of the nonprofit organization.

Coastal Concerts will once again feature world-class artists in a series of five concerts in Lewes between October 2014 and March 2015. In addition to those performances, the organization provides scholarships to musically talented high school students in Sussex County. It also takes visiting performers to area schools for interactive educational programs, provides donated musical instruments to schools’ music departments, and presents musical lectures.

More information about Coastal Concerts and its 2014-15 season is available at www.coastalconcerts.org or by calling 888-212-6458.

Coastal Concerts programs are made possible, in part, by grants from the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Delaware Division of the Arts, and the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation.
