Kings owner thanks Milton commission

May 16, 2014

Tuesday evening I was on the agenda of the Town of Milton's Historic Preservation Commission to get approval to make improvements to our place of business.

Needless to say, it's always somewhat concerning when you are asking to make changes to a building that was erected in the 1800s. The commission is chaired by Milton native Dennis Hughes. I found Dennis and his fellow commission members to be well-acquainted with the codes they are enforcing.

Members asked questions and made suggestions about my request for changes, but most importantly, they all shared a genuine concern about maintaining and preserving the historic buildings and houses that literally line the streets of our beautiful town.
