The 11th Annual Cancer Survivors' Miracle Mile, sponsored by Beebe Healthcare’s Tunnell Cancer Center, is set for 8 a.m., Saturday, June 7, on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.
The event, which is organized to celebrate National Cancer Survivors’ Day, will begin with a recognition ceremony and a presentation of the third annual Spirit of Hope Award at 8 a.m. at All Saints’ Episcopal Church on Olive Avenue. Participants will then proceed to the boardwalk where they will walk about a half-mile down and back. After the walk, participants are invited to the church hall for a light breakfast and fellowship.
More than 100 people typically take part in this annual event. Cancer survivors, relatives, and friends are warmly welcomed to attend. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. T-shirts will be given to survivors. For more information, to register, or for special assistance, call the Tunnell Cancer Center at 302-645-3100, Ext. 2718.
