Mispillion Art League celebrates 10th anniversary June 14

The Mispillion Art League invites the community to join the fun at its 10th Anniversary Celebration from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 14, at 5 North Walnut St. Milford.

Ten artists will demonstrate their artistic specialty inside the gallery from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. These artists will work in watercolors, oils, pastels, woodcarving, pen & ink, basketry and silk painting. The gallery will also be exhibiting a new show titled 10, in honor of the league's 10-year history.

Children ages 3-15 will be able to try their artistic talents from 9 a.m. to noon outside in front of the gallery. Several activities will be available: Goyataku, the Japanese art of fish painting, sun visor creations, and a crayons and coloring activity.

At noon, the Mispillion Art League will officially reveal a mural designed and painted by a Milford Elementary School student. The mural will be on the building adjacent to the Mispillion Riverwalk.

To complete the 10th Anniversary Celebration, an adult reception will be held at the gallery from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

These events are offered as thanks to the Milford community for the decade of support of the Mispillion Art League.
