Epworth opens Carl Forsberg photography exhibit June 1

May 25, 2014

The Visual Arts Program at Epworth United Methodist Church announces a new exhibit of wildlife photography by Carl Forsberg. The public is invited to an opening reception from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Sunday, June 1, in Scotts Gallery at Epworth UMC, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach.

Forsberg doesn’t have to travel very far for his work. Most of his subjects are found in his own backyard. He has a passion for photographing wildlife, especially all species of birds. His photographs capture the individuality and personality of his backyard friends.

Forsberg graduated with a BS in engineering from the University of St. Louis. During his career he has worked for companies such as Boeing and McDonald Aircraft. A lifetime of aviation brought about an interest in all things that fly, so upon retirement he began taking photographs and studying birds.

Forsberg's work can be viewed in various shows throughout the region. He is an active member of the Milton Arts Guild, Millsboro Art League, Rehoboth Art League, the Art League of Ocean City, Md., the Coastal Camera Club in Rehoboth and the Ocean Pines Camera Club in Ocean Pines, Md.

On display will be matted and framed works in a variety of sizes, gallery wrapped canvases and floated framed pieces. This show will remain in Scotts Gallery until July 20. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.
