Beebe deserves praise for great care

May 26, 2014

The following letter was sent to Jeffrey M. Fried, president/CEO of Beebe Healthcare with a copy submitted to the Cape Gazette for publication.

In a grateful and pensive recall of the compassionate care given to Scott, we are still in awe at the kindness and devotion of the entire hospital staff. We are deeply indebted to those who went beyond their prescribed duty to give Scott the care he needed (Dr. Runa Sidhu and Drs. Madan and Meera Joshi who took tender and professional charge of Scott’s multitudinous medical needs; Nancy from respiratory therapy who dispenses mental health with the same practiced expertise as her primary discipline).

I accept the natural failing to remember all the names of those who helped Scott and us, which does not diminish the fact that the ER (Gavin, Crystal, and Claudia), the nursing staff (Amy, Jenn, Christina, Lynn, Kasey, Trish, Erin, Tracy, Kristy) and respiratory therapists (Jack, Jeff, Nancy, Dawn, Vicki, Lauran) all tolerated our constant presence and participation in Scott’s care with incredible good grace.

Radiology techs, volunteers, housekeeping, and café and cafeteria staff all projected a warmth and caring about our family. You are just nice people and we are thankful to have met all of you.

Jean, Patrick and Jonathan Finnegan
