Indian River alumni say thanks

June 1, 2014

We are proud Indian River graduates, and we are proud members of a community that jumped up to help us with our biggest fundraiser ever. The Indian River High School Alumni Association hosted the second annual Food & FUN-raiser in April to connect alumni, celebrate green and gold, and begin our goal of building a school sign at Armory Road.

When we sought contributions to defray event costs of food, drinks, entertainment and auction items, we were amazed at how many people, businesses, and groups sent us gifts of all kinds and sizes. Each gift brought us closer to raising the funds providing scholarships and working to build IRHS the quality sign it deserves.

We gratefully thank the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company for its exceptional support and use of its facility. A full list of donors will be available at www.IRHSAlumni.com.

Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and joined us for a night of delicious homemade food, corn hole, auction items and more. People got lucky with some incredible ticket, silent and live auctions. They supported a local food pantry with much needed non-perishable food items. Plus, watch the roads this summer as more IR Alumni license tags are attached to vehicles this year.

We also facilitate the annual IRHS Hall of Fame induction (recognizing outstanding graduates) and IR Pride Scholarship (to students who make IR a better place).

For free registration or more info, visit www.IRHSAlumni.com, email IndianRiverAlumni@gmail.com or call IR High School at 302-732-1500.
