Delaware Hospice sets de-cluttering workshop June 6
Delaware Hospice's Family Support Center will hold a workshop on “De-Cluttering - Manage Your Things so They Don’t Manage You!” Friday, June 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford.
The storage facility industry is worth $154 billion, more than the film business. The average American spends a year of their life looking for misplaced items. Almost one quarter of adults pay late fees on bills because they have misplaced their statements. According to the National Soap and Detergent Association, ridding clutter would eliminate about 40 percent of housework in the average home.
The good news is that about 80 percent of the clutter in homes and offices is due to disorganization, not lack of space. And, 80 percent of what is kept is never uses. Almost anyone can significantly cut the clutter in their lives by getting organized and letting go of things they really won’t ever use.
This three-hour workshop is a follow-up to a shorter presentation and will provide more time for participants to really take on the task of de-cluttering.
There is no charge for this Delaware Hospice community outreach program. However, registration is required by Thursday, June 5.
