DelDOT needs to cycle traffic lights

June 10, 2014

The best improvement that can be made on Route 1 without much cost would be for DelDOT to hire someone who knows how to "cycle" the traffic lights.

Letting the light stay green for two minutes or longer on Route 1 and then only giving the side street about 20 seconds is not how lights should work. People sitting on the cross streets just waste time and gas.

Anyone who has ever lived in a large city knows how light can be cycled for the best timing for everyone. I would really like to hear a response from DelDOT on this matter.
