Sussex Tech athletes honored

Senior athletes and their families gathered in the gym at Sussex Technical High School May 22 to celebrate a successful athletic year. The Ravens athletic teams had a 66 percent winning percentage during the 2013-14 competitive year. Eighteen teams competed in state tournaments this year. Following dinner, outstanding senior athletes were named in each sport.

Also honored were coaches Scott Layfield and Dontez Collins for their many years of mentoring Ravens athletes, and athletic secretary Lavonda Lamb for her service to the Sussex Tech athletic program.
