June 15, 2014

The Rehoboth Art League held an opening for its 41st Annual Members Craft Exhibition May 30 at the main campus in Henlopen Acres.

The exhibition, on display through July 13 in the Tubbs and Cockran galleries, highlights a wide variety of imaginative fine crafts that are unique, whimsical and functional, including baskets, ceramics, fiber, glass, handmade paper, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media and wood. Over 45 artisans' work is showcased.

Opening with the craft show is the RAL Instructors' show. This exhibition in the Ventures Gallery gives the community an opportunity to see the artwork of the instructors.

The Rehoboth Art League offers a wide variety of classes focused on different forms of art making and wanted to recognize the instructors for their dedication to the RAL educational programming. Also opening on the same night was the Member's Showcase-Figurative Show in the Historic Homestead. Figurative works relating to the human form is a juried Member's Showcase featuring the artwork of six artists in photography, drawing and painting.
