Chesapeake Utilities deserves praise

June 10, 2014

A pleasant surprise when dealing with contractors. Chesapeake Utilities was installing natural gas lines in Bay Breeze. Early one morning, I went to use my toilet and found a large accumulation in the toilet of mud.

I called my plumber who said it was mud and the water coming from faucet was brown. Being a “newsy” person wondering if a water line had been damaged, I talked to a representative of Chesapeake Utilities and they said they thought they had.

Explaining that I was interested because of a possible serious problem, very nicely, they told me to send the plumber's charge and they would reimburse the charge and they did. It shows that there are good, honest people in this world.
