The Watermark at North Bethany wins Delaware Community of the Year

HBA of Delaware presents Regal Awards
June 21, 2014

The 22nd Annual Regal Awards were held May 30 at the oceanfront Salero Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach. Each year, The Home Builders Association of Delaware presents the Regal Awards to recognize outstanding accomplishments in the home building industry. Entries are judged by a panel of experts who award recognition in categories for design, marketing, merchandising, best amenity value, and best home. Also recognized were the accomplishments of sales associates whose cumulative efforts in 2013 represents a sales volume of nearly $300 million.

Community of the Year Awards are the most coveted, awarded to a community in each Delaware county with the highest cumulative point score in select categories.

Spring Arbor, a 55-plus community by McKee Builders, was named the New Castle County Community of the Year.  Amenity-rich Spring Arbor provides spacious single-story homes with access to a pool, fitness center, picnic area, playground, tennis court, billiards room, library, craft room, and an onsite stocked fishing pond.

Kent County Community of the Year was Noble’s Pond by Regal Builders. Designed for active adults, Noble’s Pond offers a fitness center, a richly furnished library, a cheerful arts & crafts center, a billiards room, and a banquet facility. Outdoor amenities include a community garden, putting green, four bocce courts, an inground pool and outdoor kitchen.

The Sussex County Community of the Year went to first-time entrant The Watermark at North Bethany by Evergreen Homes. Watermark has a resort-style atmosphere that is designed for summer entertaining and year-round living. There are 49 grand coastal homes with vast outdoor spacing, distinctive coastal architecture, and a neighborhood infinity pool overlooking a lagoon with its own sandy beach. The Watermark at North Bethany had the highest cumulative point score of all three county Communities of the Year, earning it the most impressive title of the night: Delaware Community of the Year.

Residents can get a firsthand look at the winners in Regal Book, the digital version, at www.hbade.org, and hard copies can be obtained at select locations statewide. Request hard copy by calling HBADE 302-678-1520, or email info@hbade.org.
