Cape Henlopen JROTC marks Memorial Day in Rehoboth

The Memorial Day ceremony closes with a prayer for those lost and those who continue fighting for freedom and country.
Cape Henlopen’s JROTC Female Color Guard held flags May 30 at the belated Memorial Day Ceremony at the Bandstand in Rehoboth Beach. Other cadets were present to attend the ceremony, take pictures, supervise and pass out programs. The Cape Henlopen High School band provided music for the ceremony, which was attended by many guests despite the weather. Many American Legion representatives were there as well as AMVETS and Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge representatives. Speeches addressed cherishing those who have put themselves in harm's way and some losing their lives for it and never forgetting those who have sacrificed their lives to protect Americans.
