Group of church women to discuss Images, Reactions, and Reflections June 19

June 13, 2014

Valerie Meisel, Carole Somers, Jo Klinge, and Charlotte King will present Images, Reactions, Reflections at the Summer Spirituality Series Thursday, June 19. The weekly presentations will be held in the Parish Hall of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 211 Mulberry St. in Lewes, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The presentation is being led by a group of women who participated in the Diocese of Delaware Training led by Visions Inc. from Boston, Mass. They plan to use thoughtful discussion to stimulate awareness and promote actions that move greater acceptance and appreciation of those who differ. The presentation will be their first event, with another evening planned for the fall at St. Peter’s.

Each Thursday night, through August 28, expert presenters will engage participants in the parish hall of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Fellowship and locally owned King's Ice Cream will follow each presentation. They invite and encourage everyone to attend these free sessions, which are designed for reflection and dialogue. It is a chance to learn more about a fascinating topic and engage in subsequent discussion.

In addition to providing spiritual resources for those seeking greater understanding of their own religious, or learning about others, Seekers uses the net proceeds from their store to help those in need, including the Cape Henlopen Food Basket, Doctors without Borders, work in Haiti and Centro Infantil in San Miguel de Allende.
