The Buttery to host exhibition by Cheryl Fallon

Reception set June 22
June 16, 2014

Artist Cheryl Knapp Fallon will be exhibiting her photographic art at The Buttery located at 102 2nd St. in Lewes. The work is currently on display through July 6. The Buttery will host a Meet the Artist reception Sunday, June 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. The reception is open to the public.

Fallon is known for her painterly photographic images of dreamlike landscapes and figurative pieces based on the themes of common struggles and victories.

“I strive to create images with a painterly feel, something beyond a photograph. My latest works inspired by the genres of fantasy and surrealism are created as composites of my images allowing me the ability to create the fantastically improbable,” she said.

Fallon was raised in a military family which provided her the wonderful gift of living in various places including North Carolina, Florida, Great Britain and Dover. She graduated from college with a degree in biology and her love of the natural world remains evident in her work.

Since 2004, Fallon’s images have been exhibited extensively throughout Pennsylvania, as well as in New York City and London. Her work is held in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Great Britain, Canada and Australia. She was recognized with an honorable mention in The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards and in Photo Techniques Magazine. Fallon is a member of the Rehoboth Art League. She is currently represented by The Chadds Ford Gallery in Chadds Ford,  Pa., and Xanadu Studios in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Fallon is a 1993 graduate of Dover High School and currently resides in scenic central Pennsylvania with her husband, painter Jody Fallon and their two sons.  For more information, go to cheryl-fallon.com.
