Anti-bullying group to meet June 23 at Lewes Public Library

June 17, 2014

The next Community Bully Project Meeting will be at 6 p.m., Monday, June 23, at Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.

Many community members participated in watching the “Bully” documentary in February and the short discussion afterward.

A local group has begun a series of community meetings to brainstorm things to do to help area communities, schools, towns, county, and state to become more aware of the problems of bullying, and suggest some ways to eliminate bullying for all people, but especially school-age young people, many of whom may be GLBTQ and/or have special needs.

Participants will discuss ways to help get the message out about bullying in the community. In coming meetings, they will put together an action plan to get these ideas put into practice.
