Milton Garden Club plans Homes and Gardens Tour July 12

June 24, 2014

The Milton Chamber of Commerce’s June 5 mixer was hosted by the Milton Garden Club. This event was held in club member Kathryn Greig's garden, one of the 11 private gardens which will be open for the Milton Homes and Gardens Tour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 12. The tour theme, A Walk Down Union Street, also includes two public gardens, four historic homes, the Milton Theatre, the Milton Historical Society Museum and the former Welch Pharmacy. Nancy Trask, vice president of the garden club, said, “The experience is like nothing else as you stroll from one intimate garden room into another.  The overall garden totally captures your imagination.  It is utterly breathtaking.”

Garden tour tickets are $15 before the tour and $20 the day of the tour.  Pre-tour tickets may be purchased at Salon Milton, Hillside Flowers, Pepper’s Nursery, Milton Town Hall, the Milton Farmers Market, Lewes Printing, and Community Bank in Rehoboth.  Day-of-tour tickets will be available at the Milton Garden Club tent in front of the Milton Historical Society.   For more information call Kathryn at 302-684-3804 or visit www.themiltongardenclub.org.
