Women's club lays wreath at Memorial Day service

July 3, 2014

In commemoration of Memorial Day and as a tribute to the men and women who served and those who continue to serve in the United States armed forces, members of the Sussex County Republican Women's Club placed a wreath on the steps of the Courthouse in Georgetown.

The beautiful red, white and blue wreath, with the words “Let Freedom Ring” emblazoned across the front, was made by member and club chaplain Linda Rehm.

Shown (l-r) are Joanne Townsley, Inga Ganaway, Suzanne Ervin, Ellen Smith (obscured), Eileen Beveridge and Pam Fitzgerald. Mary Lane enjoyed the privilege of laying the wreath on the courthouse steps as a member of Boy Scout Troop 95 stands by.
