RBP Juniors go into action in Rehoboth

July 1, 2014

The Rehoboth Beach Patrol Junior Guard program is in full swing, and the participants are learning skills to last a lifetime.

The program, started in 1997 with just 30 participants, has grown to 155 this summer. The program's purpose is to increase the self-confidence, physical conditioning and ocean awareness of program participants through their introduction to water safety, first aid and surf rescue techniques.

The program meets from 8 to 9 a.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday and is instructed by RBP lifeguards.

For more information, call the RBP at 302-227-2280.
