June 25, 2014

Long Neck artist Jack Knight will have a painting included in the Navigation Puzzle: 2014 Members' Exhibit at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts in Wilmington. The show runs June 28 through Oct. 19 with an artist's reception starting at 6:30 p.m., Friday, July 11. Admission is free.

The guest curator for the exhibit is Bridgette Mayer, director of the Bridgette Mayer Gallery in Philadelphia, Pa. She said, "I decided to select the best artist works that stood out within these various styles of abstraction. The result (I hope) is a cacophony and beautiful symphony of many voices, sounds, interests and intentions that for me define a well-curated exhibition."

Knight also had another painting from the same series selected for the 11th National Juried Exhibit at the Ceres Gallery in New York City. Guest curator was Lauren Hinkson, assistant curator of Collections at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. That show closed June 21.
