Loretta H. Hornbarger, cafeteria retiree

Mrs. Loretta H. Hornbarger of Millsboro passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014.

Loretta was born April 8, 1921, in Ocean View to the late Nelson P. and Vannie Rickards Dolby. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Barry R. Bunting; her first husband Edward C. Bunting in 1982; and her second husband George H. Hornbarger in 1997.

She worked in the cafeteria as the head baker for Sussex Central High School before retiring in 1987.

Loretta was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro and also a member of the Millsboro Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a sister, Alvana Campbell of Frankford; a daughter-in-law, Linda Bunting; nephew, Bruce Dolby and his wife Lois; nieces, Mary Campbell and Bonnie Jarvis; a good friend, caretaker and neighbor, Sue Anderson; and two grandchildren, Dawn Taylor and David Bunting. She is also survived by many great-nieces and -nephews, cousins and friends.

A private graveside service was held at Millsboro Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Loretta’s memory to the Millsboro Fire Co., P.O. Box 83, Millsboro, DE 19966.
