Safe Kids held its annual Kids Safety Day in Lewes in the Lowe's parking lot June 21. Local first responders, emergency medical services and several safety-minded vendors filled the parking lot and educated families on many safety issues.
Coordinated by Beebe Healthcare, Lowe's, Nanticoke Health Services, Delaware State Fire School, State Farm Insurance and Sussex County EMS, the event raised awareness of preventable injuries issues and educated individuals in vital injury prevention strategies, and motivated them to participate in a vision for an injury-free life for all children.
