It is really time for our state legislators to bring some new laws to regulate homeowners associations in Delaware. Today HOAs are really above the law, as they are considered to be private governments unto themselves, and as such can and do make and try to enforce their own rules as they see fit. Not all HOAs are bad (10-15 percent) but the rest need to be shut down so we as homeowners can and will live in nice communities.
I would really like to hear a response from both my representatives, Sen Ernesto B. Lopez and Rep. Peter C. Schwartzkopf.
We buy homes to live in the way we want to. Many communities do not give you a choice; live under HOA rules or go buy somewhere else!!!
