Clear Space welcomes new board members

The Clear Space Theatre Company of Rehoboth Beach recently announced the addition of three new members to its board of directors. Lois Rubinsohn, Clayton Serman and Randy Reed were welcomed as directors at a recent board meeting.

Rubinsohn moved to the Bethany Beach area in 2001 after retiring from a 40-year career in healthcare. Her many civic credits include serving as president and board member of the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach, president and vice president of the South Bethany Women’s Club and Women’s Civic Club of Bethany Beach, second vice president of both the State of Delaware League of Women Voters and the Sussex County League of Women Voters, and the vice president, publicity chair and nominating committee of AARP Chapter 5226. In recognition of her many community activities, Rubinsohn was presented with a WBOC Jefferson Award in 2013.

Reed currently owns and manages Oak Creek Wine and Spirits in Milton, but his past experience includes divisional insurance sales manager, district sales manager, divisional human resource manager and branch sales manager for HSBC throughout Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. Born in Lewes, Reed was raised in Chincoteague, Va., and currently lives in Rehoboth Beach.

A resident of Millsboro, Serman brings his experience as a commercial banking professional to the Clear Space board. Serman is knowledgeable in relationship management, business development, portfolio management, risk assessment, financial analysis and leadership. He currently works as assistant vice president, commercial loan officer for County Bank in Rehoboth Beach after careers with PNC Bank/Global Investment Servicing and Swarthmore Financial Services.

Clear Space Theatre, and our arts community at the beach, will benefit greatly from their insights, leadership and experience.” The three join current Clear Space Theatre Company board members President Chris Berg, Vice Chair Kay Ryan, Treasurer Curt Christensen, Secretary Joan Thomas, John N. Chapin Jr., Nancy Feichtl, Janis Lopez, Fred Legge, Kelly Quinn and Carl Schloegel.
