Applebee's kicks off summer of fundraising for Alex's Lemonade Stand with July 1 toast
A monthlong campaign of fundraising for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation kicks off Tuesday, July 1, with more than 890 Applebee’s nationwide participating in fundraising events. To commemorate the fundraising kickoff, regional restaurant locations, stretching from the Greater Baltimore area through the Greater Philadelphia area, including Rehoboth Beach, will be involved in a lemonade toast.
In the 10 years that Applebee’s has been raising funds for ALSF, the local restaurants have raised a combined $3.2 million in funds by donating a portion of each lemonade sale through the restaurants’ Summer Squeeze promotion.
In addition, eight Corner Bakery Cafe locations in the Greater Philadelphia region will be participating, extending the support and reach of the ALSF fundraising efforts.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation has grown from the front yard of 4-year-old cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott in 2000 to become one of the nation’s leading philanthropic organizations fighting childhood cancer.
Locally, guests who donate $5 receive a coupon for a free kids' meal or frozen lemonade during their next visit at participating restaurants along with the chance to win Free Applebee’s for a Year.
