The Barn Shops At Five Points donate to Home of the Brave II

July 14, 2014

The Barn Shops At Five Points recently donated $500 to Home of the Brave II, a female veterans' program which was started in March 2014 and exists similarly to the men’s program, now in its 22nd year.

The goal of Home of the Brave II is to meet the needs of homeless female veterans. These are veterans who have been honorably discharged. Through case management at Home of the Brave, the program addresses each veteran’s needs for general benefits, vocational counseling, enrollment for VA healthcare and benefits, mental health counseling, substance abuse program referrals, clothing, food and shelter.

The Barn Shops' donation was the result of several fundraisers held at The Barn Shops, as well as a landlord donation.

The Barn Shops At Five Points, 17370 Coastal Highway next to Surf Bagel, is a shopping destination for all things unique. With over 30 vendors under one roof, shoppers can find just about anything at The Barn Shops. Some examples include vintage and antique furniture, shabby chic home decor, collectibles and antiques, handmade pottery and glassware, custom woodwork, handmade jewelry, Barbies, porcelain dolls, vintage albums, wall art, Angel Scents, hand-knit items and quilts. The Barn Shops At Five Points also has vendors who provide engraving services and alterations. The Barn Shops is open seven days a week.
