St. Peter's hosts thousands at annual art show

July 11, 2014

The 48th annual St. Peter's Art Show was blessed with blue skies and comfortable temperatures July 5. The streets around St. Peter's Episcopal Church came alive with about 150 exhibitors who showed original paintings, photographs, jewelry, carvings, ceramics, mixed media creations to a crowd of thousands.

"The weather helped tremendously, and there were definitely more people than in the several years past," said Shelly Hill Souder, art show co-chairwoman.

In addition to artwork, the churchwomen offered its famous turkey salad sandwiches and treats. A silent auction with featured artists' works raised funds.

A demonstration of the parish’s impressive organ was presented by T.J. Thomas.
