Briggs King serves 37th District well

July 21, 2014

A couple of weeks ago DMHOA hosted a debate for the 37th District candidates. I attended that debate and there were several questions that were presented to each candidate.

It was quite clear from the debate that one candidate is better suited to represent all the concerns and an interest in our district and our communities, and that candidate is Rep. Ruth Briggs King. Her knowledge and understanding of how things work and how to get things done clearly will make a difference for the people of the 37th District.

The other candidate, Paulette Rappa, hinged her message on being one of 26 with “clout” in the Legislature. This year, our Rep. Ruth Briggs King was instrumental in finding and fixing a major issue in the Bond Bill, one of her many accomplishments for us. This is what one effective legislature can do for 37th District and for Delaware.

I for one, want a representative who knows there are 41 representatives in the House not 39.
