Williams to sign his book on retirement Aug. 7 at Bethany Beach Books

Gary Williams will sign his book, "The Art of Retirement" Thursday, Aug. 7, at  7 p.m., at Bethany Beach Books.

"The Art of Retirement," with foreword by former San Francisco 49er, NFL legend and Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott, uses the story of Michelangelo’s life and art to facilitate the creation of a masterpiece: a resilient, well-crafted portfolio along with a fulfilling life and legacy. This unique book serves as a life guide - helping readers understand the art of investment management and financial planning, while also providing an insightful perspective on life and retirement.

Williams is a certified financial planner practitioner, and president and founder of award-winning, Maryland-based wealth management firm Williams Asset Management. Since 1994, he has been providing retirement planning and investment advisory services to both individuals and organizations, throughout the United States and around the world.

There is a charitable component that inspired Williams  to write the book: All of the book’s profits will be divided among four charities, the Brigance Brigade Foundation,  Augie’s Quest, the Maryland SPCA, and the Y of Central Maryland.

“I look forward to the book signing and continuing to raise awareness for the causes that are important to me,” Williams said.
