Launch party for ‘Sandy Shorts’ set July 27 at Browseabout Books

July 17, 2014

Browseabout Books will host the launch party Sunday, July 27, at 3 p.m., for “Sandy Shorts,” a new book of beach reads set in the coastal towns of Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach, Lewes, Dewey Beach, Cape May, N.J., Ocean City, N.J., and Wildwood, N.J.

Author Nancy Powichroski Sherman will be on hand to sign books and answer questions about the new book, which contains her award-winning story, “Why You Trashed Vera Wang.”

Many of the stories in “Sandy Shorts” reference local restaurants, beaches, bars, stores, and other familiar locations.

In fact, Browseabout Books is mentioned in one of the stories. “Our customers are always looking for enjoyable books to read on the beach,” says Susan McAnelly, general manager of Browseabout Books. “This collection of short stories is a great choice and has the added fun of including places and activities readers will recognize.”

Anyone who purchases three or more copies of “Sandy Shorts” at the launch party will receive a free “Sandy Shorts” tote bag while supplies last.

Everyone will get to sample free saltwater taffy while they get their books signed. For more information, go to www.browseaboutbooks.com/event or call 302-226-2665.
