Don't believe in Rehoboth election lies

July 24, 2014

As the high caloric municipal election season hits Rehoboth Beach, I am writing to warn voters and solicit candidates to avoid misinformation from the group the Washington Post once dubbed the "Swift Boat Realtors."

We remember bogus cards allegedly from the city commissioners mailed from a local Realtor office; weird anonymous letters personally attacking Patrick Gossett and Bill Sargent; a letter to the editor calling a well known citizen "Hitler;" and the letter from a fictitious person in Allentown, Pa. accusing Mayor Sam Cooper of being un-American.

Fox News fact checking prevails! Vote your heart and the future of what you believe in for Rehoboth Beach, not lies, spred mostly from people who do not live here.
