Downtown Milton to host free family fun day Aug. 2

The public is invited for a day of free family fun in downtown Milton from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, with a rain date of Sunday, Aug. 3. This event celebrates local history, promotes home and fire safety, and showcases the town's community resources.

Visitors to the event will enjoy a display of antique and modern fire vehicles, farm tractors, race car; fire engine rides for kids of all ages; fire safety activities and giveaways; moon bounces; face painting and washable tattoos; Snippy Doodles doing balloon art; Clipper Express train rides; museum and library exhibits; and free hot dogs, water, juice bags, snow cones, watermelon and mini funnel cakes.

Activities will take place in the large lot next to the museum, at the museum and library, and in Milton Memorial Park. The event is cosponsored by the Milton Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, the Milton Public Library, the Milton Historical Society, and the Milton Lions Club.
