Dewey Scavenger Hunt at The Starboard Aug. 2

Lindy Promotions and Miller Lite are teaming up once again to put on the Fourth Annual Dewey Beach Scavenger Hunt from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2.

Participants will roam Dewey Beach in the wildest scavenger hunt ever seen as teams try to find random items, take pictures at different landmarks, visit nearly a dozen Dewey bars, complete challenges and answer trivia questions in attempt to be crowned the 2014 Dewey Beach Scavenger Hunt Champions.

Pre- and post-parties are held around the hunt itself. The registration and pre-party will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at The Starboard. After a 4-hour scavenger hunt throughout Dewey, teams will return to The Starboard for the post-party, where they will be judged and awarded prizes from 6 to 8 p.m.

Prizes this year include $500 cash, free bar tabs, concert tickets, a Miller Lite prize pack and much more. All participants will also receive a special event koozie.

Teams can consist of between four and eight people (all must be 21 or older). Team themes are greatly encouraged, and bonuses are awarded for the best costumes. Registration is currently $30/team, but prices will increase soon.

Last year’s hunt had over 500 participants and this year is expected to be the biggest yet. Participating bars include The Starboard, The Lighthouse, Gary’s Dewey Beach Grill, Grotto’s, Woody’s, Hammerheads, McShea’s, Nalu, Que Pasa, Port, Whiskey Beach, and Scully’s.
