Markert a clear choice for commissioner

July 25, 2014

We have the opportunity this year to add a highly qualified, smart and responsible individual to the city commission. Francis “Bunky” Markert has served on the planning commission for the past five years. In that time, he has proven himself to be a conscientious representative of the interests of all residents, a hard worker and a common sense kind of commissioner. He has studied each issue carefully and acted in a way that represents no specific interests, but rather serves the best interest of the city.

He will bring his knowledge and experience, and that same common sense approach to the city commission, and truly be a voice for all of us as the mayor and commissioners consider the actions necessary to preserve the best of Rehoboth Beach and grow stronger as the years go by.

Elections have consequences, and the best consequence of this election for commissioner would be the election of Francis “Bunky “ Markert to represent us. The city is in great shape, thanks to public servants like Francis who are willing to serve and do the hard work of drafting and considering ordinances that affect us all.

Make the best choice: Vote Markert on August 9.  You will be glad you did.
