Eddie Filemyr to exhibit works at Breakwater Gallery opening Aug. 16

Eddie Keach Filemyr exhibits her paintings and clay sculpture at Gallery 20 East, a member of the Destination Arts project in Waynesboro, Pa. Filemyr lived in the Waynesboro area for more than 15 years. Sixty pieces of her vibrant work are represented in this show.

She draws on her career in landscape design to interpret flora and foliage with expressionistic style. Eddie returned to painting three years ago. She is the recipient of numerous awards in gallery shows in Delaware. She holds a BA in design from Skidmore College in New York and an MFA from Antioch University in ceramics.

She will be teaching an acrylic class at Delaware Tech in Georgetown and an acrylic studio at Osher Lifelong Learning in Lewes this fall. The grand opening of the Breakwater Gallery in Bethany Beach will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16, and will feature her paintings. Filemyr resides in Milton with her husband.
