Bay to Beach Builders' new woman-centric home grand opening Aug. 9-10
Bay to Beach Builders Inc. has been selected by Design Basics LLC to be Delmarva’s exclusive woman-centric homebuilder. The doors to Delaware’s only Idea Home opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 7.
As reported at the International Builders Show, “Women directly purchase or have controlling influence in the purchase of 91 percent of all new homes.” Bay to Beach Builders founder Deric Parker decided to embrace this unique business approach, saying “As a woman-centric homebuilder, we have listened to customers' feedback and been inspired to re-envision our homes and our business with the goal to build you a beautiful home that is functional, enjoyable and relaxing, and make the building process more convenient.”
Over the past decade, Bay to Beach Builders has developed a reputation for quality Amish craftsmanship in new homes throughout Sussex and Kent counties in Delaware and surrounding Maryland counties.
With customer feedback as the driving force, Bay to Beach Builders designed and built an all-new idea home and design studio on the corner of Route 13 and Route 16 in Greenwood.
The Idea Home totals 2,448 finished square feet on the main level and upstairs loft. It is based on the new Lancaster home design, which was inspired by the growing trend of Craftsman-style homes with open floor plans.
The lower level features a 2,500-plus-square-foot, state-of-the-art design studio created by the country’s foremost design center specialist. The design studio features four kitchen vignettes with handcrafted Amish cabinetry, a flooring gallery, fireplace selections, bath vignettes, an exteriors gallery, and a playroom for the children.
The official public Grand Opening Celebration will take place the weekend following the ribbon cutting, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9 and 10.
Everyone in the family-owned home building company is involved in bringing the woman-centric concept to reality. Julleanna Seely, the sales and marketing specialist, said, “Most of the suggestions we’ve received in the past few years have been from women. It’s women who have inspired us to develop new design solutions and to integrate new products in the home. That’s partly why we call these homes woman-centric.
