Children’s Theatre offers family entertainment through Aug. 26

August 9, 2014

Family audiences have only two more weeks to enjoy the high-flying adventure of "Peter Pan," the magic of "Aladdin," the fantasy of "Alice in Wonderland" and the laugh-a-minute comedy of "Little Goldy and the 3 Riding Bears." The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre brings these four spirited plays to the stage as its 33rd season draws to a close. There is great fun for audience members of all ages in these imaginative, dynamic, two-actor productions.

"Peter Pan," "Aladdin" and "Alice in Wonderland" are lively versions of the well-known tales. "Little Goldy and the 3 Riding Bears" is an original musical combining "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," "The Three Little Pigs" and "Little Red Riding Hood" in one hilarious production.

The four shows rotate on the schedule in two locations through Aug. 26. At 7 p.m. on Sundays, RSCT performs at the Clear Space Theatre. At Epworth United Methodist Church, performances take place at 7 p.m., Tuesdays and at 11 a.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays. The final schedule includes "Peter Pan" Aug. 13, 19 and 26; "Aladdin" Aug.12 and 20; "Alice in Wonderland" Aug. 14 and 17; "Little Goldy and the 3 Riding Bears" Aug. 10 and 21. Tickets to all shows are $10. They can be purchased by calling 302-227-6766 or at www.rehobothchildrenstheatre.org.

Clear Space Theatre is at 20 Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. Epworth Methodist Church is on Holland Glade Road, just east of Route 1 northbound near Rehoboth. There is plenty of convenient, free parking at the Epworth location.
