Young and future lifeguards from Delaware and Maryland took part in the Junior Lifeguard Olympics at Rehoboth Beach Aug. 4, competing in events that will someday help them become senior beach patrol members. The skills learned will help them make the beach and water safe for visitors of all ages. Participants competed in running, swimming and paddleboard events.
